Join us September 16th-19th 2013 as we celebrate American music and American artists through our second annual PANAmerican Music Festival.  Featured artists include musicians from the Colombian Youth Philharmonic Orchestra, Piano virtuoso Eduardo Rojas, Soprano Sarah Davis, violinist Elanor Dunbar, the faculty of the B Sharp Youth Philharmonic and much more.

Each of our programs will feature, as always, the great composers of North and South and Central America. This year we will be performing works by Aaron Copland (USA), Astor Piazzolla (Argentina), Antonio Maria Valencia (Colombia) and many more.

Our week long music festival will include SMU's Caruth auditorium, Tarrant County Community College's main performance hall  and will culminate in a final performance September 19th 7:30pm at the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth auditorium.

The Fort Worth Music Fund is pleased to be working with the BATUTA National Foundation of Colombia for our 2013 PANAmerican Music Festival.  

HISTORY
The National Batuta Foundation is a National Government initiative created in 1991, modeled in part, on the National Youth & Children Symphonic Orchestras Organization of Venezuela ("The System."). Batuta was created in response to significant social societal interest in youth development in Colombia through an enhanced appreciation, practice and teaching of music, And This national vision has Informed the work of Batuta from its inception. The result has been a transformative impact upon the lives of many Thousands of Colombian families from a broad range of social classes and backgrounds. Batuta is now one of the largest arts program of any kind in Latin America, and the largest in Colombia, and has Gained much international attention.
